Product realization defines the steps and processes that are used to bring a product from development to a commercial product. Product Realization is requirement centric and takes a lifecycle approach to the development of the product. Requirements from all sources are taken into account for the product including, but not limited to, the end customer, marketing, manufacturing, service, product support and regulatory. The requirements are translated from the proof of concept to product, process, quality and manufacturing specifications. These specifications are used by engineering to specify part components and equipment that are used to manufacture the end product.
